VERMONT ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® HONORS REALTOR® OF THE YEAR FROM ADDISON COUNTY
Fairlee, VT – At the annual meeting of the Vermont Association of REALTORS®, recognizing service to local community and participation in the local, state and National REALTOR® Association, Claire Wallace of Wallace Realty in Bristol was named REALTOR® of the Year for the State of Vermont. She was the Realtor of the Year for the Addison County Board of Realtor’s for 2004, 2005 & 2006. Claire was also awarded the Omega Tau Rho Medallion of Service. Omega Tau Rho is a National Association of Realtors award sponsored by the Vermont Association of Realtors. The fraternity acknowledges outstanding contributions to the real estate industry. Membership in this honorary fraternity is represented by the Medallion of Service, which symbolizes the recognition and appreciation accorded inductees for their contributions to the state association and the National Association of Realtors. Once a medallion is awarded, the recipient is a member of the prestigious Omega Tau Rho fraternity for life. Since becoming a member more than 14 years ago, Claire has found every opportunity to represent her local board by serving on the VAR Board of Directors and Executive Committee, as well as on the Multiple Listing Service Advisory Committee for the Vermont Real Estate Information Network. As chair of the Real Estate Forms Committee, Claire has contributed long hours of detailed oversight of the development of documents which provide the legal framework of practice for the entire membership. On the VAR Real Estate Commission Liaison Committee, Claire also assists in developing policy recommendations to improve the practice of licensees. For the past three years, she has qualified for the VAR Honor Society based on her contributions to and participation in Association activities such as Leadership Symposiums, Annual Conventions and Regional Conferences. In her community, Claire has served as a member of several local boards, volunteers for several local fund raisers and was Bristol Green Up Chair for more than 15 years. Claire and her husband Tom own Wallace Realty in Bristol, which they operate along with their daughter Kelly Laliberte.
